The Artist
- William George Reid was born in September 1963 in Ontario,
Canada. After attending elementary and high school he attended Queen's University and the University
of Western Ontario. He worked at various jobs throughout his life, travelliing extensively and living for
three years in Australia. He now lives and works in Thamesford, Ontario with his family. He began
painting seriously in 1987. His canvasses are mostly modernistic depictions of women. Some of his work is
concerned with the abstraction of the body and nature.
